This page is Cosmolink’s long-form understanding after reading across AARO historical and annual products, NASA’s UAP independent study, CIA Gateway materials, Black Vault FOIA culture, and the major case/media desks on this site. It is not a verdict. It is a map of what the public record actually supports, where camps disagree, and how Cosmolink should behave.
1. Product shape
The Black Vault already built the civilian FOIA warehouse. Trying to be a thin copy of it will always look weak. Cosmolink’s durable job is three systems that Black Vault alone does not run as one product: SKY (live public instruments), RECORD (router into AARO / Black Vault / NASA / CIA / NARA), and FIELD (case and media desks written as histories with sources). Commentary (NewsNation, Coast to Coast, UAP Gerb, Rogan, HISTORY) is a lead layer — never the finish line.
2. Official UAP process — what the PDFs say
AARO Historical Record Report, Volume I (2024)
AARO’s public Historical Record Report Vol. I reviews U.S. government involvement with UAP-related efforts across decades (coverage framed roughly 1945 through late 2023 in public materials). Aggregate public conclusion language is stark: AARO reports no confirmation that reviewed USG investigations established UAP as off-world technology; most sightings, when data allow, resolve as ordinary objects and phenomena; interviewees described authentic sensitive programs that AARO concludes were not UAP reverse-engineering programs as alleged; AARO states it found no empirical evidence for the reverse-engineering narrative as presented and reports disproving the majority of those interviewee claims, with some still under evaluation; a metal specimen alleged to be exotic was assessed as ordinary terrestrial alloy in related public lab summary work.
That is process output under classification and access limits. Disclosure activists argue AARO lacks the right clearances or incentives. Those critiques only become investigative when tied to specific program names and missing documents — not when used as a reason to ignore the PDF. Cosmolink’s rule: quote the report; open Black Vault for named programs; keep activist interviews in a separate tray.

FY2024 Consolidated Annual UAP Report
Public figures associated with the FY24 consolidated annual report: AARO received 757 reports in the described window (485 incidents from the period; 272 backlog from earlier years), bringing cumulative holdings above roughly 1,600 by June 2024. Public summaries emphasize hundreds of resolutions to common or natural phenomena, and no unclassified confirmation of foreign-adversary attribution or observer adverse health effects in the cited release language. Later annual products continue case-management framing. Report volume is a bureaucracy metric, not a census of non-human craft.
NASA UAP Independent Study (2023)
NASA’s independent study is methodological: how a science agency can help — stigma reduction, better data, AI, Earth-observing assets for environmental coincidence with detections made elsewhere, commercial remote-sensing collaboration. It is explicitly not a re-litigation of every famous incident and does not conclude UAP are extraterrestrial. Cosmolink’s Live board (APOD, EPIC, NeoWs, DONKI, SDO, ISS) is the same philosophy in software: instruments before ontology.
3. Gateway Process — what the 1983 paper is
Lt. Col. Wayne M. McDonnell’s 9 June 1983 assessment for Army INSCOM at Fort Meade evaluates Monroe Institute Gateway / Hemi-Sync training. The CIA FOIA release (CIA-RDP96-00788R001700210016-5) is the correct primary. McDonnell borrows physical models (including Bentov) to argue there is a rational basis to treat Gateway’s essential objectives as plausible and to recommend phased approaches if an organization wanted accelerated altered-state training. That is staff analysis for possible practicality — not a peer-reviewed neuroscience consensus, not proven OBE physics, and not ET contact confirmation. Internet culture that merges Gateway with CE-5 “vectoring” is a later remix. Quote the PDF before the meme.
4. Case desks — distilled understanding
Bob Lazar / S-4
1989 Knapp/KLAS interviews made Area 51 a household word. Solid: Groom Lake is a real restricted test site. Contested: S-4 employment, nine-craft inventory, education claims critics say are unverified at MIT/Caltech, stable Element 115 fuel. Moscovium exists as short-lived lab isotopes — chemistry fact, not hangar validation. Cultural influence is proven; craft verification is not.
Skinwalker — Bigelow then Fugal
Ownership arc is the cleanest public layer: Sherman-era 1990s publicity → Bigelow (~1996–2016) and NIDS → Fugal (2016–, public 2020) and HISTORY series. AAWSAP/BAASS enter via mainstream reporting (NYT-era and Knapp interviews) as DIA-linked contracting studying exotic aerospace topics with ranch-adjacent lore — treat as program-history claims needing FOIA, not as episode proof. Fugal’s era is instrumentation under television incentives: real spend, real cliffhangers, limited open data.
Nimitz “Tic Tac” (2004)
Fravor/Dietrich eyes-on accounts; Underwood FLIR; 2017 NYT package; later hearings. Keep pilots, pixels, and branding separate. Whatever one concludes about the object, the case helped normalize elite UAP language that produced ODNI/AARO paperwork Cosmolink actually links.
Roswell (1947)
8 July “flying disc” press language, same-day balloon pivot, 1990s USAF Mogul explanation for debris. Body stories are a later tier. Work 1947 primary press before 1990s television.
Hills (1961) / Walton (1975)
Hills created the English abduction template via missing time and hypnosis with Dr. Simon, popularized by The Interrupted Journey. Walton’s multi-witness Arizona disappearance sits weeks after NBC’s Hill TV film — media-context critics note that proximity without settling ontology. Fire in the Sky intensifies examination for cinema. Hypnosis is not a truth serum; compassion for witnesses is not a physics certificate.
Greer — 2001 / CE-5 / Atacama
National Press Club 2001 is activist media history, not cross-examination. CE-5 nights are uncontrolled: aircraft, Starlink, balloons, planets, group expectation. Atacama skeleton path associated with Sirius: genomic analyses identify human remains with developmental mutations — lab over reveal scene.
Varginha (1996) / James Fox
Civilian entity reports in Minas Gerais plus military-rumor layers. Fox’s Moment of Contact revived English attention. Stack Portuguese 1996 press separately from decades-later interviews and film edits. No public specimen chain of custody.
5. Media factions — how information actually moves
Coast to Coast AM (Art Bell → Noory / Knapp) is the oral-history backbone of English overnight UFO culture: dated show logs, uneven callers, occasional journalism-grade guests. UAP Gerb is a high-effort independent syllabus on SAP/legacy-architecture literacy — useful for how secrecy works, still allegation-heavy on reverse-engineering specifics. NewsNation/Coulthart and Knapp/Mystery Wire generate searchable interviews. Rogan multiplies reach. HISTORY packages Skinwalker and Ancient Aliens for retention. Mick West / Metabunk supply sensor-literacy counterweight. Cosmolink’s order remains: claim → disclosure router → Black Vault/AARO → re-watch clip.
6. Working rules
- Primary PDFs and official pages outrank podcasts.
- Unknown is allowed; unknown is not a species.
- Live instruments before night-sky romance.
- Unique images and captions per desk — no recycled mood boards.
- Private property stays private (Skinwalker and all others).
- Write falsifiers for every favorite hypothesis.
- When AARO and activists conflict, quote both and chase the named document.
